About our Vice Chair



Chandrashekhar Medicherla is a Lead Database Administrator at Salesforce, whose distinguished career spans enterprise-scale database architecture, high-availability systems, and cloud infrastructure. With over 18 years of Oracle database expertise, he manages mission-critical databases supporting millions of global SaaS users across Fortune 500 organizations.

He holds prestigious professional credentials including Distinguished Fellow of the Soft Computing Research Society, Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), and Senior Member of IEEE. He has been recognized as a Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering Ambassador Alumni, reflecting his global impact on engineering excellence. He serves on the SCRS–WUST Center Advisory Board, contributing to advancing the global technology ecosystem.

His mentoring programs have guided database professionals to senior leadership roles across multiple organizations, establishing him as a thought leader in database performance optimization and disaster recovery solutions. Industry peers and technology leaders consistently seek his expertise for conference presentations, peer review of research publications, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

His leadership ensures that the ACM Bluffdale Chapter delivers world-class programs aligned with the highest standards of professional excellence and innovation in computing.
